Richard Kwei

Richard Kwei

Chief Operating Officer

Richard Kwei is chief operating officer for Geisinger Health Plan, Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Company, and Geisinger Quality Options, Incorporated. He is responsible for the leadership oversight of customer service, customer service support, strategic initiatives and planning, human resources and information technology.

Kwei joined the Health Plan in 2009. He most recently served as senior director of strategic planning with Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan where he was responsible for the development and execution of strategic and operational planning. Before joining HealthNet Plan, he was the chief information officer with Private HealthCare Systems, Inc., strategic enrollment with BCBS Massachusetts, and assistant director for claims, enrollment and member services with CIGNA Health Plans. Kwei also served as market and forecasting analyst with Kaiser Permanente.

Kwei obtained his bachelor's degree in management science and his master's degree in operational research from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
