2008 Gold premiums announced
DANVILLE, PA – Medicare beneficiaries in Lycoming County now have the choice of ten Medicare Advantage plans offered through Geisinger Gold, including three plans with $0 premium.
Medicare beneficiaries in Lycoming County can now purchase a Medicare Advantage HMO plan or private fee-for-service plan, for $0 per month. Geisinger Gold is also offering a Medicare Advantage Medical Savings Account (MSA) plan, new this year, for a $0 premium.
“We are happy to provide Lycoming County residents with affordable options for medical coverage,” says Richard Slaughter, GHP’s vice president, Health Plans, Medicare. “We offer Medicare choices because we know everyone has different concerns and unique needs.”
Geisinger Gold plan premiums offered in Lycoming County range from $0 to $152 depending on the coverage offered. Medicare beneficiaries also have the choice of two levels of prescription drug coverage starting at $24 a month. A stand-alone prescription drug plan is available for those with Medicare Advantage MSAs, private fee-for-service plans or those with traditional Medicare with or without a Medigap plan.
Geisinger Gold is also offering two special needs plans for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
These options will be available to qualified Medicare beneficiaries during Medicare’s annual election period, November 15, 2007 – December 31, 2007.
