DANVILLE, PA Janet F. Tomcavage, RN, MSN, has been named vice president of medical operations for Geisinger Health Plan. She oversees medical management, quality improvement and clinical reporting, appeals, care coordination, medical home management and accreditation.
A Geisinger Health System employee for 26 years, Tomcavage spent 20 years as a diabetes clinical nurse specialist at Geisinger Medical Center before becoming the manager of care coordination at GHP. Most recently, Tomcavage was the director of the medical home department. Tomcavage received her RN from Bloomsburg State University and her MSN from College Misericordia.
Tomcavage is an active member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association and the Case Management Society of America.
Tomcavage, her husband, Ron, and son, Zachary, 8, reside in Winfield.
