DANVILLE, PA Thomas Qualley has been named vice president of marketing for Geisinger Health Plan. His duties include marketing, product development and product management.
Qualley has worked in managed care for more than 20 years. During his tenure at Aetna, he served as head of brand marketing and advertising, head of Medicare marketing, and most recently as health of national marketing strategy & brand management for the retiree markets. Prior to Aetna, Qualley was director of marketing and advertising for United HealthGroup in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Qualley graduated with Academic Honors from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota with a bachelor of arts in political science and a minor in economics.
In 2006, Qualley’s marketing team at Aetna won a silver ECHO award from the Direct Marketing Association for Aetna’s Medicare prescription drug benefit marketing campaign. The ECHO award is the only comprehensive international direct marketing award recognizing excellence in strategy, creativity, and results.
A member of the Direct Marketing Association, Qualley also enjoys the theatre, collecting British and French antiques and playing golf.
Qualley will be relocating to the Danville area. He has two daughters, Meagan, 23, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Kathryn, 16, of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
