This change was required by the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act passed as part of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. TLS helps guard your protected health information by using strong cryptographic methods to prevent eavesdropping, tampering and forgery.

Important change notice

Geisinger Health Plan is changing its pharmacy claims processor. Beginning January 1, 2012, we will be using MedImpact to process prescription drug claims for our members.

No service interruption is our top priority to ensure your ability to service our members and providers. For that reason, we have engaged community pharmacists to advise us on key aspects to make this transition as seamless as possible.

What you need to know:

Select pharmacies will be performing test claims in December to ensure effective claims processing.
A new member ID card will be issued to all members.
The PCN and BIN numbers are below.
Member ID numbers will remain the same.
Members will not be able to use their Argus prescription benefit card after December 31, 2011.
The required BIN and PCN are as follows:
